Main Bible Text: 1 John 4:7-16

LOVE

I. WHAT GOD IS

Read 1 John 4:7-8

God is love.

II. WHAT GOD DID

Read 1 John 4:9-11

He sent His Son.

vs 9: “manifested” = made

A. THE SON

“sent” = shows the deity of Jesus

“begotten” = , one of a kind

B. THE SATISFACTION

vs 10: “propitiation for our sins” = to God’s wrath

Read 1 John 1:5, Romans 3:25

C. THE SAVIOR

vs.14: “whosoever will, may come”

III. WHAT GOD IS DOING

Read 1 John 4:12-13

God abides in us.

A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have love you; that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye love one another.. (John 13:34-35)
