SETTLED

Sermon by Pastor Bob Johnson / July 25, 2021

Why some Christians doubt their salvation?

1. Lack of spiritual .
2. in their life.
3. Question their .
4. everything.
5. Truly not .

The Holy Spirit will convict you; Satan will confuse you.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, … (1 Corinthians 14:33)

Truth to Remember

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (2 Corinthians 1:22)

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:5)

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

  2. Guarantees your in Heaven.
  3. Empowers you to live with .

The sealing of the Holy Spirit secures your standing before God.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

(2 Corinthians 1:20-22)

Truth to Remember

Your salvation is settled because you’re sealed by the Spirit!

The sealing of the Holy Spirit guarantees your inheritance in Heaven.

Truth to Remember

Your salvation is settled because you’re sealed by the Spirit!

The sealing of the Holy Spirit empowers you to live with confidence.

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

(2 Corinthians 5:5-10)

Truth to Remember

Your salvation is settled because you’re sealed by the Spirit!
