I. IN TIMES OF TRIAL

Read Psalm 13:1

How long will you hide from me?

How long will you forget me?

How long shall I have sorrow in my heart?

How long shall my enemy (cancer) be exalted over me?

Lighten my eyes – lest I sleep the sleep of death

Read Psalm 142:1-2

In David’s trials, he did 2 things:

  1. He poured his heart out to God
  2. He ran to God

II. IN TIMES OF TRAGEDY

Read 1 Peter 1:7

Read James 1:2-3

III. IN TIME OF TEMPTATION

Read 1 Corinthians 10:13

God’s Word says:

  1. “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”
  2. “My grace is sufficient for thee”
  3. “My strength is made perfect in weakness”
  4. “They had almost consumed me but I forsook not thy precepts” (Psalm 119:87)

IV. IN TIMES OF TRIUMPH

When David was in times of trials and tragedy, he ran to God and he wrote the Psalms
