I. ANGER AND ITS CORRECTNESS

Is all anger sin?

Read Eph 4:26

When fire is left to itself, it ends up destroying everything in its path.

He that is angry without cause sins.
But he that is not angry when there is a cause sins.

II. ANGER AND ITS CONTENTION

Are you the kind of person who gets angry suddenly?

People who fly into rage seldom make a good landing.

How anger manifests itself

  1. Clam up
  2. Blow up

God can handle your frustrations and pain and anger

God understands our emotions

Three Suggestions When You Feel Angry Towards God

  1. Pray it through
  2. Think it through (Read John 16:33)
  3. Talk it through 

III. ANGER AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Read James 1:19

If you don’t get control of the fly of anger, you can give place to the devil.

Read Ephesians 6:26, Eph 4:30-31

Six Steps To Disaster

  1. Bitterness

“Bitterness is like one drinking poison and then waiting for the other person to die.”

2. Wrath

“Anger is more of an acid on which it is stored than on the person on which it is poured.”

3. Anger

5. Evil speaking

IV. ANGER AND ITS CONQUERING

Five Steps for Victory Over Anger

  1. Recognize it
  2. Repent
  3. Renounce the devil (James 4:7-8)
  4. Reverse it (Romans 12:20)
  5. Rely on the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:32)
